Valentino Raised Rose Tote

Just a couple of nights ago, my boyfriend leaned in towards me, looked me in the eye and held my hand saying sincerely that while he will probably never buy me a luxury handbag, not because he didn’t want to, but because it would never occur to him, he will always take me on trips and vacations and that he hopes that it would be ok with me.

Before anyone jumps to conclusions, let me state this very clearly. I have NEVER demanded, asked or let alone hint slyly that he should buy me anything! Which would explain my rather surprised and slightly indignant expression when he stated the above to me.  I calmed myself down (surely my nostrils were flaring at that moment) and told him that it didn’t matter to me and that I would never, ever, ever ask. That I’m perfectly capable of buying my own. And that I knew that he took very good care of me.

Now, of course, this doesn’t mean that I don’t like luxury goods. I do, I can’t deny it. I am also the girl who forages through the bargain bins and have no qualms walking into salvation army thrift stores sifting through piles of used clothes for something interesting.  The one thing that I find myself more likely to part my hard earned cash on, are bags. Now, I haven’t gone beyond buying Coach. I’m not quite at the level of Gucci or Prada but one can always dream.

When I turned 25, I told myself that I would make an effort to spend money on good, quality handbags that would last me for years (oh and jewelry but more because I like the concept of having heirlooms to pass on to my children).

My latest luxury handbag obsession has to be the Valentino Raised Rose Tote. It’s beautiful and I am so in love. It’s such a statement piece and would look so lovely even if you’re dressed in a simple tank and jeans. And it’s in that beautiful nude pink color that will go with almost everything. I first discovered it on purseblog.com (I love this site!!) and you can read about it here: http://www.purseblog.com/valentino-handbags/valentino-raised-rose-tote.html

Hmm... Hmm... I really don't get the HUGE rose. Maybe it's me. haha! Regarding about the age of owning a branded items. It's easy!!! all about savings. (: But let me tell you once you got 1 brand done, you will want to purchase something even better. I think this is why women do tend to spend more then men.

Wow, I'd take a free trip over a luxury handbag ANYDAY!! I'm not into luxury handbags myself... as long as it's a good looking bag.. I don't really care what brand it is :)
